Fabulous Fifties and Sweet Sixties
Branson, Missouri offers nostalgic sights, sounds and tastes that will transport you in time. Begin your journey aboard Sparky, Branson's free downtown trolley, to conveniently explore the district’s bustling streets and shops like Dick’s 5&10. While browsing, be sure to work up an appetite for the culinary delights that await. A standout among Branson’s plentiful dining options is Cakes-n-Creams 50’s Diner, where you can fire up the jukebox and chow down on burgers, hot dogs and mile-high funnel cakes. When you’re done, play a round at the onsite mini-golf course, or come back later and catch a flick at the diner’s replica drive-in movie theater. Mel’s Hard Luck Diner, “Home of the Original Singing Servers,” is another can’t-miss Branson institution. Dishes like the Boot Scootin’ Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich are served up by professional musicians who serenade you during your meal. On your way out, swing through the gift shop and buy one of their albums–they’ll be happy to sign it for you.

Swinging Seventies and Awesome Eighties
Ready for more throwback fun? The King’s Castle Theatre in the heart of downtown is home to stage performances like “The Ultimate 70’s Show” and “Anthems of Rock” with show-stopping choreography. After the show, take a short drive over to Retromania, a massive wonderland of all things 1980s nostalgia. Browse old-school movie props in the museum, take a selfie with a replica of your favorite 80s movie character and crack the code in an escape room themed after movies like “Back to the Future” and “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.” At 1984 Branson, an 80s-themed video game arcade, try your hand at over 80 retro games and 20 pinball machines for a chance to see your name in lights on the venue’s high score board. Not ready to hop out of the time machine yet? Keep the good times rolling at Skate World, Branson’s only roller-skating rink.
