Five-Star Luxury: Welcome to The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs
By Luiza Florence
The state of Colorado is, without a doubt, one of the most versatile travel destinations in the United States. With its flawless natural setting, you can take advantage of different activities and attractions that are not limited to any season or time of the year.
It sounds like a dream to travel to some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the United States and, above all, to be hosted in a place worthy of queens. That’s not an exaggeration – it's how I felt at The Broadmoor: privileged! This excellent resort is located in Colorado Springs and is one of the finest in the world, receiving several times the Five Star and Five Diamond ratings. And this refinement started a long time ago: The Broadmoor opened its doors in 1918, and it is considered one of the most historic resorts in the United States.
Ultimate Comfort and Impeccable Service
I got to know the resort very well during the days I spent there, and if I had to use a couple of words to describe my stay, they would be warmth and luxury. From the treatment by the staff to the luxurious accommodation, everything boils down to the feeling of being treated like royalty.
Upon arriving, you are kindly received and called by your name; you have your bags brought to your room and are carefully introduced to all resort amenities as you pass by. This first-class service is consistent in all moments here.
Convenience and Fun
Combined with the cozy feeling, there is another important consideration when it comes to a resort vacation: convenience to a variety of activities. This is one of the strengths of The Broadmoor. A complex that includes golf courses, hiking trails in the mountains, spa, restaurants, lounges and many other options and leisure activities, surrounded by scenery that makes each experience just unforgettable. This is truly a place where you can experience it all.
Shopping & Dinning
The Broadmoor also offers great shopping right on-site. There are more than 25 boutiques that range from antiques to children's shops, luxury items to clothing. Besides that, there are plenty of restaurants and places to eat, from the most relaxed, like the Golden Bee pub or La Taverne, to the most sophisticated, like the Penrose Room and Ristorante Del Lago.
Other Unique Activities
For those who like adventure, I will leave two tips as places to go that are worth it: The Pikes Peak Cog Railway and Garden of the Gods. Pikes Peak Cog Railway is a train that takes you to the top of Pikes Peak, the mountain near the resort, for a breathtaking view. Garden of the Gods is an incredible park amongst the beautiful mountains. Make it a point to schedule a walking tour – or climbing, for those more adventurous. You can also enjoy the scenery on a horseback ride and get to know a little more about the area at its Visitor Center.
With all these possibilities in the palm of your hand, how could you not plan your next trip to get to know all the luxury and activities offered at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs?
